MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer is an important player in music in the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received a Colombian Kids Choice Award as The Most Popular Song in 2017. The singer released his first long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. The album climbed to number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. He then was a part of Ozuna for the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He dropped Dopamina, his chart-topping sophomore album the year following. The year 2021 was the first time he performed in a duo with TINI to perform her online song Maldita Foto. The 2023 album of 2000 which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in a musical environment, since both his mom and his older brother are musicians. In interviews he has described playing music as an obligation. As a child, he was taught how to play guitar, the piano as well as the ukulele. The first goal was to be a vet, but after his brother Julian encouraged him to take lessons with a Cuban singer, he altered his the direction of his career.
